Here is What Evan Bayh Is Really Saying

From The Washington Post - The Fix - February 18, 2010:

Evan Bayh comes out against the filibuster

It took him a day or two, but Evan Bayh has finally begun saying why Washington doesn't work, rather than just complaining that it doesn't. Here he is saying that the filibuster should be 55 votes rather than 60, and fewer nominees should require Senate confirmation.

"The minority has rights, that's important, but the public has a right to see its business done, and not routinely allow a small minority to keep us from addressing the great issues that face this country," Bayh says. "I think the filibuster absolutely needs to be changed."

It's enough to make you wish the guy was sticking around to fight for his ideas.

Whatever, CJP! The quote was the quote. I saw the clip. He said that if he could create 1 job in the Private Sector by helping grow a business, it would be more jobs than the congress created in 6 mos.
He was taking a shot at this whole economic recovery BS.
He is a moderate, and has been critical of the current rate of spending, and of the "jobs bill", and of the defecit. The WH has not been his best friend. Wait a minute...maybe he SHOULD stick around....

So you admit it. Your guys have failed. No one likes the way things are going and what these clowns are doing.
Guess you had better practice your Canadian. Can you say, "eh?"
Put on some sensible shoes for the long wait for healthcare. We'll miss you! Maybe Anon2 and you can hang out. She can teach you macrame, and tell you stories of Woodstock. WOW

Sad but sounds like another terrorist licker struck again.

Hey fellow good guys on the left, I say we waterboard some cons to determine what seditious plans they are up to.

I think Bayer was not much of a democrat. Quitting that close to the deadline for others to file to run in his place.

Sure, sure Bayer, you quit to show us your supreme business prowess, much like cons think they are Gods gift to the business world. I bet you fail just like the cons always fail, unless they cheat.

Wow RG, you really have a bad case of the sour grapes. You get so angry when you aren't getting your way. So most of the country isn't left. So what? Are you suprised? You had your minute. Americans have seen what a tremendous mistake they made and now they are going the other direction. (they weren't listening---all that they heard was that catchy "hope and change' thing)Had they really been listening they wouldnt have voted to go this way. but thats ok. You're going to Canada with like minded people like Anon2

RayGun said...

Definitely buying land in Canada. If another w or worse (Palin) gets in office I am gone, because the country will collapse and I don't want to be around when Gods chosen ones start looking for a scapegoat.

Comon crazy cons, why not start charging what things actually cost? For example, gasoline, and all its resulting pollution, etc, that we end up paying for, but not paying for directly in the price of gas. Doesn't that make sense? The price of gas should really be 7 plus per gallon. Seems cons what be all for a program like that.

hispanicontheright said...

Why would you want to pay $7 for a gallon of gas?

RayGun said...

We are currently paying far more than 7 per gallon for gas now, but indirectly.

Don't you think thats half of the states problem? Oil dependence and the other half of course being religion.

See Im all ready calling the US the states.

OOOOOOOOOOpppppppppsssss.
Look like the mini terrorist was a Brown Noser much like yourself RG.
Nice job of ASSuming. Brown Nosers love to ASSume. Let's see how this works with Brown Nosers.

ASSume first then ask questions later.
ex. RG ASSuming he was a con
ASSume first then get the facts and still ASSume
ex. global warming, find out it's a scam and STILL push global warming.
ASSume first, get it wrong then act like they never ASSumed.
ex. stimulus will keep unemployment at 8%, goes to 10% and then takes credit for it. lol

Brown Nosers keep ASSuming.
We are on to you.

Yeah. Looks to me like he was one of yours. He was even an atheist from California!
And HOTR was on target on the global warming thing. Not one of you has the cojones to comment on the massive con job.
Here's a good one...

"Committee investigators have identified hundreds of ACORN bank accounts, shell organizations incorporated under different sections of the Internal Revenue code, and even an ACORN controlled accounting firm (Citizens Consulting Inc.) that helps ACORN obscure the true use of charitable donations and taxpayer funds," reads the report, titled "Follow the Money: ACORN, SEIU and their Political Allies."

"Documents and testimony from ACORN whistleblowers reveal that ACORN activities -- despite contentions that they are intended to help the poor -- fulfill a more self-serving and political purpose for ACORN."

The report alleges that ACORN, which stands for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, contributed to the risky lending that led to the financial collapse by intimidating banks into lowering mortgage lending standards, becoming one of the few entities to profit from the subsequent misery.
Some of the largest banks and lenders in the country, including Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, CitiBank, provided ACORN Housing with a total of $39.9 million, along with address and bank account information of at-risk homeowners to provide free counseling services, but ACORN used the information to recruit the homeowners, bringing in $48 million a year for the group, the report says.

Sorry RG. Another Left leaning org hitting the wall. So you guys have ANYONE that isn't a crook?

UPDATE: Both the Washington Post and New York Magazine are also blaming the Tea Parties for the attack.

A Washington Post writer says “I am struck by how his alienation is similar to that we’re hearing from the extreme elements of the Tea Party movement.”

New York Magazine says “In fact, a lot of his rhetoric could have been taken directly from a handwritten sign at a tea party rally.”

Hat Tip: Information Liberation

Time Magazine has wasted little time in crudely exploiting the kamikaze plane attack in Austin today to smear Tea Party activists as violent domestic terrorists, implying that anyone upset with big brother and the federal government is in league with Joe Stack, the pilot who crashed his Piper Cherokee into a building that housed IRS offices.

With Obama supporters already crawling over message boards labeling the incident a “right-wing domestic terror attack,” Time Magazine has already jumped on board with a piece by Hilary Hylton which equates Stack’s rambling manifesto with “the angry populist sentiments that have swept the country in the past year”.

Comon, we all know cons aka lickers are Americas Real Terrorists.

Casey said...

Face it, RG. You know NOTHING of this guy, yet you want to blame a con. Facts don't add up.
Those articles have wanted to blame SOMETHING on the Tea Party people. They are grasping. Show me evidence of his Tea Party involvement and then we can talk.
Give me 1 example of his involvement in the movement.

Just saying, sounds like a licker, smells like a licker, must be a licker.

Comon case isn't the teabagger movement about the overthrow of a tyrannical government? By any means possible?

Who does RG believe?
Obama because he's done such a great job.
